-=In Depth Description

In an effort to decrease the number of genuine email messages that get judged to be spam(false positives) we are giving you the option to change the way spam emails are treated.

Currently any spam that is addressed to you is filtered into a special folder in your email account called "Spam". This folder is special because during a normal send/receive (POP) session this email is not downloaded. It has been upto you as to whether or not you check this folder through your webmail account, and take action on any incorrectly assigned emails and delete spam messsages.

Unfortunately the number of false positives has been increasing, mainly due to the sophistication of the programs/people that make the spam. As a result some users are missing important emails.

We recommend to check your spam folder through the WorldClient/Webmail option.

-=How to check my Spam

If you are comfortable using the Worldclient/Webmail to access your spam folder then do nothing, you already know all.
If you are unsure of how to check your spam folder then do the following:
Visit http://webmail.yourdomainname.com.au ie being from Omniserve I would visit http://webmail.omniserve.com.au. You can visit this site too if you are unsure.
  1. Visit your webmail page or http://webmail.omniserve.com.au
  2. Enter your full email address and your password.
  3. If you are successful simply navigate to the spam folder on the left of screen and peruse the emails.
  4. If you find something in there that should not be, click on the email and click the "This is not spam" button which should look like a thumbs up.
  5. Then "click+drag" that email into your "Inbox" folder so it can be downloaded onto your computer.
  6. On your next "send/receive" on your computer you should receive that email.
If you want all your emails to appear in your Inbox with spam mail being tagged in the subject line with the word SPAM then email me or do the following:
  1. Visit your webmail page or http://webmail.omniserve.com.au
  2. Enter your full email address and your password.
  3. Click "Options", usually in bottom left of screen.
  4. Click "Filters " in the menu, usually on left of screen.
  5. Click "Delete" next to the "X-SPAM-FLAG exists move to Spam" rule, usually under Filter 1.
  6. If you find you would rather be blissfully ignorant and re-enable this rule (after having deleted it) follow the same instructions but use the New Filter option.
Thanks for your time and please email me or call if you have any queries.
